About Heesen Yachts Founded by Frans Heesen in 1978 in Oss, Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to employ aluminium for the yacht hulls. Since then we have become a world leader in the design, engineering and construction of high-performance motor yachts. In 1992 we expanded our business to include the construction of displacement yachts, and today we deliver superyachts within the 34 – 75 metres size range, and beyond. In 38 years we have delivered over 170 yachts.

The current fleet includes aluminium, steel, displacement, semi-displacement and the new fast displacement hull form. Heesen is financially secure, large enough to cope with complex construction, small enough to care about each project, motivated to pioneer innovations and dedicated to continuing the tradition of Dutch quality shipbuilding.

At 70 metres overall, Galactica Super Nova is the largest Heesen built to date. With an impressive top speed of 30 knots, the aluminium Fast Displacement vessel is one of the fastest superyachts in her class in the world

What makes Galactica Super Nova different from every other yacht in her class is how she combines high speed with long range and low fuel consumption. At cruising speed the yacht is able to voyage comfortably and economically for over 4,000 nautical miles with no compromise on luxury. Galactica Super Nova’s Fast Displacement Hull Form reduces resistance by up to 20 per cent, dramatically decreasing the amount of power required to achieve a given speed.

MAIN SALOON I The Galactica Super Nova’s classic and contemporary interior is a paragon of elegance and comfort. The designer Sander Sinot worked so closely with the yacht owners to create a recognizable design that perfectly suits their lifestyle and taste.
The main saloon comprises three beautiful distinct areas: a welcoming conversation zone with low coffee tables, the semi-circular library with a mesmerising open fireplace, and the formal dining area.

BEACH CLUB I Equipped with bar and elegant lounge space as well as two fold-down swim platforms, the beach club is one of the most desirable places on board while at anchor. At night, a simple touch on an iPad transforms the beach area into a night club with LED light clusters configured to interact with the music for a multisensory experience. The high-tech lighting can also be adjusted to suit more mellow moods should romantic dining or a cocktail reception be the order of the day.

SUN DECK I The shaded sun deck is shielded from the wind by wrap-around, sliding panels for protection at anchor and while underway. Guests can lounge on sun pads, sip cocktails at the bar, dine around the extendable table, or converse while sitting on the bespoke club chairs and sofas.

MAIN DECK AFT I The 6-metre infinity pool with glass-panelled bottom and spa jets for hydromassage and swim jets is the centrepiece of the main deck aft. The sun’s rays stream through the pool floor, bathing the lower deck beach club with dappled light beams. The lighting and waterproof sound system can be synchronised with the beach club to create a double party zone

MAIN DECK AFT I The main deck aft terrace with its built-in settees is a delightful recreational space where guests can enjoy the relaxing sound of the swimming pool’s waterfall feature. At night, creative LED lighting provides a magical atmosphere for entertaining.

OWNER’S SUITE I The master suite, an oasis of space and calm is set forward on the main deck. It is accessed via an owner’s private study.

Spectacular staircases are a hallmark of all Heesen yachts. Galactica Super Nova’s takes staircase design to another level with a myriad of intricate, bespoke details and elaborate light installations embedded into the walls, stair treads, ceiling and floors.
