It would take more than a thousand words to describe the explosive flame of femininity that Szymon Brodziak captures in only one image. The particular mastery of immortalizing nudity into black & white is making Szymon Brodziak the artistic heir of the legendary Helmut Newton.
Born in 1979 in Poland, Szymon Brodziak is a photographer who specializes in unconventional black and white advertising campaigns with a personal approach. "What you see is what you are" – says Brodziak, an economy graduate taken over by passion for photography.
Still as a student, Szymon won "Johnnie Walker Keep Walking" award for the constant fulfillment of dreams and the passion for setting new paths in the search of beauty. Since then, he has obtained many international awards, both for commercial and personal projects, including 3 Gold Medals at 2012 Prix de la Photographie Paris. During 2013 Cannes Film Festival, Brodziak has been officially acclaimed by Fashion TV, the best black & white campaign photographer of the world.
On Thursday, October 2, 2014, at La.Vi. Via Tomacelli 23 at 8.30 p.m. in Rome the presentation of the acclaimed Fashion Photographer, Szymon Brodziak's first book of photographs "Brodziak ONE", will take place. This event is organized in partnership with D'ORO Gold Books and La.Vi. Latteria & Vineria. "Brodziak ONE" is almost 400 pages of splendid black & white photographs that summarizes the last 10 years of his professional and artistic activity. The book starts with a personal dedication from June Newton, the wife of the great artist Helmut Newton, who has and continues to inspire Brodziak.
Inside the book he presents advertising campaigns, calendars, editorials and personal projects that have never been published before. Brodziak chose the camera to express the exquisite beauty of a human body, giving life to impressive masterpieces. During the event you can attend live performances inspired by the sensual photos of Szymon Brodziak, and a dj-set by French-Italian Julia Gautier.
Club La.Vi. Latteria & Vineria will host his book launch & exhibition until October 26, 2014.
